About Cot Valley, St Just

Cot Valley is a sub-tropical valley with a tumbling stream and abundant wild flowers located just a few moments from St Just with its numerous pubs, cafes, shops and galleries. The valley is popular with bird watchers particularly for the migrant birds sheltering from the wild and rocky coastline. Excitingly Cloughs can now be seen on the cliffs. Walkers, photographers, and artists come to enjoy the spectacular cliff scenery with its deep coves and panoramic views of the sea as far as the Scilly Islands and Longships and Bishop Rock lighthouses. Remnants of pre-historic habitation and the industrial archeology of Cornwall?s tin mining past are also evident in the surrounding landscape. This area is now protected by the National Trust, providing unrestricted access. Children delight in exploring the rock pools teeming with small sea creatures that are uncovered at low tide and when they wish to surf or build sand castles, the famous broad sandy beaches of Sennen Cove are only a 10 minute drive away.
